Apple製品に関するニュースサイト、Mac Rumorsは11日、今年の9月に発売予定のMac OS X Snow Leopardがゴールデンマスターに到達したと報じました。複数の情報筋から得た情報とのこと。

“Golden Master” status, meaning that it has been finalized and is ready to be released to manufacturing for the public launch. The build number of the Golden Master is reportedly 10A432, compared to the last known developer seed (Build 10A421a) released over two weeks ago.

今回確認されたビルドナンバーは10A421aとなっています。ゴールデンマスターはWindowsでいう製造工程段階(Release To Manufacturing)とほぼ同義になります。
Snow LeopardはWindows 7より早い9月発売を目指しており、Windows 7が既にRTMに到達していることを考えると、現時点でゴールデンマスターに到達していても何ら不思議ではありません。
